Tim Cook and Claude Lelouch - The Tech meets the Artistry
UPDATED February 19, 2019
A picture tweeted on October 22, 2018 from Apple CEO Tim Cook shows him with two-time Oscar award-winning French director Claude Lelouch. In his hand is a rig full of the latest in mobile filmmaking technology.
Lelouch's latest project is entirely shot on iPhone ( #shotoniphone if you'd like to follow the conversation via social media ). Straddled precisely over the lens for every shot is a Moondog anamorphic lens. Not entirely visible from the picture Tim Cook posted, but trust us, it's there :)
Also on his rig, Lelouch is using a Beastgrip Pro: "the world's first universal lens adapter and camera rig system for smartphones. It has an adjustable lens mount and the spring loaded clamps ensure secure grip and perfect fit with virtually any phone on the market." - Beastgrip.com
The software on the phone is FiLMiCPro, a camera app that unlocks the full potential of an iPhone's camera. Or as FiLMiCPro puts it, "all of the features of professional video cameras at 1/1000 the price."
We here at Moondog are very excited to be partnering with Claude Lelouch in tandem with these great products. As we learn more about his project, we'll be sure to keep our #shotonmobile community informed.
